Key Responsibilities
The Biodiversity and climate intern is expected to be passionate about climate change and biodiversity. Their current or past studies or interests should feature around the above. The main responsibilities of the intern will focus on.
- Emailing partners and follow-up.
- Primary research and development as per the Biodiversity and Climate Change campaign needs.
- Contribute and follow up on the Biodiversity campaign outputs.
- Assisting with logistics support for conferences, meetings, and events during the campaign
- Tracking various databases.
- Assisting with basic project management (e.g., drafting meeting minutes, updating work plans, tracking budgets)
- Support campaign engagement activities in the Philippines together with Asia/Oceania Organizer - 10%
Requirements
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Committed to LSM values
- Education: upper-level student in environmental sciences, law, social studies, climate change, and biodiversity focus areas.
- Management of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge and or prior experience in campaigning
- Good writing and emailing skills.
- Ability to work in a remote online environment.
- Collaborative attitude, availability of 35 hours or more per week, and is able to take initiative.
- Ideally, an understanding of ecological issues and faith communities alike in the environmental movement.
- Comfort working in a faith-based organization.
Languages
- Fluent English is required and professional
- French or Spanish is added advantage
Location: Indonesia
Work Environment: Remote and offline. It will be based at home but offline meetings are also expected.
Type: This is an internship program, and a stipend may be offered depending on local/legal requirements. This position will last until July 1, 2022.
